Microsoft .NET

RediPro is based entirely on the Microsoft .NET Framework. This extensive and modern technology makes the integration of other technologies e.g. COBRA, unnecessary. The .NET Framework already incorporates all functionalities for modern applications and communication between applications. From classical Windows programmes through applications running in Web browsers up to multilayer solutions, the .NET Framework supports all requirements.

In addition, simple techniques are available in order to provide the end-user with .NET applications as well as with follow-up extensions, with no further installation or help users are always in possession of the latest version.

All applications based on the .NET Framework, and of course on RediPro, can be operated, for example, with the operating systems most commonly in use at the present time.

  • Microsoft Windows 2000
  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Microsoft Windows Vista

.NET applications can be developed in different programming languages so that the appropriate language can be chosen for each task whilst ensuring the inter-operability of the entire system.

In addition, with the Mono-Project it is basically possible to use RediPro with platforms that are not supported by Microsoft, such as Linux or MacOS

The .NET Framework will also be the first choice for future modern applications. Today, RediPro is already based on future technology.

Microsoft Visual C# 2005

With C# RediPro uses probably the most modern and future-proof programming language currently available. C# was developed specially for Microsoft .NET Framework and optimally supports all functionalities provided by the .NET Framework.

The programming language C# is standardised in ECMA and ISO. This ensures that the programming language will continue to be a reliable basis for all kinds of future developments.
